Nikolaos Uzunoglu, Professor
Nikolaos Uzunoglu is a Professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens and Head of the Microwave and Fiber Optics Laboratory. His research interests include electromagnetic theory, microwaves, fiber optics, telecommunications, biological process simulations, in silico oncology, and biomedical engineering. In 1981, he received the International G. Marconi Award in Telecommunications and he is a member of the Academy of Sciences of Armenia.

Panteleimon Asvestas is a Professor of Applications at the Department of Biomedical Engineering of the Technical Educational Institute of Athens and a member of the laboratory of Medical Image and Signal Processing.

Giannis Makris, PhD
Dr. Yiannis Makris has a Ph.D. in Medical and Molecular Genetics from Kings College London in cooperation with Medical School of University of Athens. He also holds a BSE in Nursing (University of Athens), M.Sc. in Molecular Biology (UCL, London) and a diploma in Bioinformatics (MIT, Boston). His Ph.D. thesis included the identification and characterization of the gene responsible for the genetic disease orofacial clefting. He is a scientific collaborator in the Electrical Engineering Department of National Technical University of Athens since 2007 and in the Chemical Engineering Department since 2013 and has active participation in various European Union programs. He prepares and teaches the postgraduate course "Introduction to Bioinformatics". He is also the owner of CELLETHA company which deals with novel biofuel processes and an internet entrepreneur dealing with affiliate marketing. His scientific specialization and interests include Bioinformatics, Data Mining, Biomedical Technology, Microarrays, Gene Therapy and Medical Information Technology.
Marios Lykissas, Dr.
Dr. Marios Lykissas is Chief of the Division of Pediatric Orthopaedics and Spine Surgery at Metropolitan Hospital, Senior Clinical Associate in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Weill Cornell Medical College, New York, USA, and Clinical Associate in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, University of Ioannina School of Medicine, Ioannina, Greece.
Dr. Lykissas specializes in the surgical treatment of pediatric and adult patients with scoliosis, kyphosis, and other deformities through reconstructive surgery. Moreover, he is one of the most experienced leaders in the U.S. in all current surgical and non-surgical pediatric orthopaedic procedures including deformities of the lower extremities, hip pathologies, sports injuries, and upper extremity pediatric conditions.

Vasileios Kouloulias, Associate Professor
Vasileios Kouloulias is an Associate Professor of Actinotherapy in the School of Medicine of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He also holds a degree in Physics from the same University and a PhD degree from the National Technical University of Athens. He is collaborating with ICCS since 1987 and he has researched the application of electromagnetic radiation as well as medical image processing.

Simone Tassani is a member of the European Society of Biomechanics and is interested in the development and application of image processing technique for the analysis of bone mechanical behaviour. Peter Windisch, Professor
Professor Dr. Peter Windisch specializes in surgical treatments in the field of periodontology and implantology. He mainly focuses on the regenerative therapies concerning soft and hard tissue augmentation that can be done by local anaesthesia and does not require hospitalization. He is very active in scientific research and dental education as a professor at the Clinic of Periodontology, at Semmelweis University, Budapest. He is also the leader of the Hungarian Association of Periodontology and a member of the Executive Commitee of Hungarian Association of Implantology.
